Construction project for

Widows & Orphans

A home for orphans and widows at Avenue Fondation La Grande No. 36 in the Democratic Republic of Congo

The construction of the orphanage and retirement home in the Democratic Republic of Congo is contributing to the improvement of the neighborhood in which it is being built. In addition to the construction, we installed a water source for the neighborhood in winter 2023, providing the neighborhood with clean drinking water year-round. Our contribution has persuaded the authorities of the town of N'sele to rename the street where our association is headquartered in Congo to Avenue Fondation La Grande 36. We praise the Lord for this honor before the construction is completed.

Why build?

The retirement home is intended to provide a place of peace and security, while the orphanage is designed to be child-friendly and inviting to give the children a feeling of home.

In both facilities, we place great emphasis on sustainability and the integration of natural elements to create a harmonious environment. The vision also includes common spaces that encourage social interaction, as well as outdoor areas that invite relaxation and play. Overall, the design aims to represent a perfect balance between functionality and beauty, inspired by the region's cultural and scenic diversity.

A solid roof over one's head, a warm bed, and a hot meal every day are things we take for granted in Western countries. We wish the same for the orphans and widows of the Fondation la Grande in the Democratic Republic of Congo! That's why we're working with you to build an orphanage for male and female children/young people, as well as a retirement home for women, in the Democratic Republic of Congo!

Cost & Financing by God's Grace

The cost of one house is approximately at least €52,000, not including furnishings. Two plots of land were purchased using the equity of the founder and silent partners. The next step was to build a protective wall to secure the construction of the orphanage and the first assisted retirement home for widows. Thanks to inspiring events and generous donations following several appeals, a water source and an electricity pole were successfully installed. The ambitious construction of the orphanage and the first assisted retirement home is now the next major milestone on the agenda! We need at least €104,000 to realize these construction projects.
